It's so great that you talked about changing your air filter monthly because I feel like that is something that is really easy to forget. My husband and I lived outside of the country for about a year, taking a sabbatical from our jobs, and when we came back we realized that our HVAC system had stopped working completely. We will need to contact a professional in our area to see if they can fix it, but we will keep these maintenance tips in mind for the future.

My dad was saying that he has been really hot in his home, because his AC isn't very effective. He isn't sure what is wrong, so getting a professional to look at his system could be really useful. I liked what you said about how he can help the air circulate by cleaning the air filter, closing off the vents in the basement, and using the fans more.

Hey! Great tips. When HVAC vents and air ducts are not properly maintained, the air circulated in your residence or business facility can get up to 5 times more polluted than outdoor air.

I liked it when you shared that it is crucial to clean your air ducts regularly. It is because when it is get clogged with debris, dirt, and dust, your system will take a long time to cool or heat your home. I would like to think if someone has noticed that his HVAC system is not working properly, he should consider cleaning or replacing the air duct by hiring a reliable service that can help to do so.

Thanks for the tip to change my air filter every month if my AC is running all day. It gets so hot where I live. So I'd rather pay for new filters and the electric bill than deal with a hundred degrees house.

In the summer, most air conditioners feature an external condensing unit/heat pump with a fan on top to disperse heat. The condensing unit's metal fins are commonly blocked with debris, pollen, and filth. Spray the outside of the device with a water hose once a season to keep it clean. Warning: Do not use a pressure washer to clean your unit since it will permanently harm it.

I like what you said as the filter absorbs dust, lint, and debris flowing in your air ducts and ventilation system, it is likely to get blocked, making air circulation even more difficult. This is a good article, my uncle is looking for info and this should help him. I wanted to thank you for your explanation about air conditioning.

I like what you said about getting a programmable thermostat. I wish I had one so that my kids don't jack up the heat while I am at work. I'll have to have one installed to lower my costs.

I appreciate the advice you shared about getting an HVAC system that has a programmable thermostat. With that in mind, would it be a good idea to get an HVAC system that has a smart thermostat? As far as I know, smart thermostats can be controlled with an app on your smartphone.
